Soñia is determined and it shows! She passed the PMP exam and became a certified Project Management Professional skilled in People, Process and Business Environment.

PMP certification is the most recognized professional certification for the project management profession around the world. The requirements Soñia met for sitting for the exam were rigorous and included providing evidence of 5 years of project management experience, 7,500 hours leading and directing projects, and 35 hours of project management education. Soñia took the initiative to gather all of the necessary documentation from her pre-JDI and JDI work experience, took a 4 hour long PMP exam prep class every Monday evening for ten weeks, read a ton of external material, watched videos, listened to audiobooks, practiced flash cards, took mock exams, and then studied and passed the difficult exam on her first try!

This is no easy task considering only 50 to 60% of candidates pass the exam on the first attempt. Soñia set a goal and worked for it!

Here’s what Soñia had to say about the process:

“It was extremely tough, but I was committed. It was a goal that I set for myself one year ago, and I was determined to make it happen. Best feeling!”

The JDI Group is excited to share that 100% of our project managers are certified Project Management Professionals. We continue to be proud of our team!
