The JDI Group has been hosting trainings for 15 high school students every Wednesday in partnership with Junior Achievement of Northwestern Ohio. This past Wednesday, our Director of Business Development and Marketing, Karen Slawinski, led a discussion about professional profiles and networking.
Karen’s job focus and passion surrounds this topic, so she was excited to be able to share her knowledge and industry experience with our guests.
The goal of this session was to educate the students on the importance of professional networking, creating a personal brand, LinkedIn profile, and resume, as well as preparation for a successful interview.
Networking is a critical component to opening up opportunities. It allows individuals to strengthen their business connections, advance their career, gain career advice and support, and get fresh perspectives and ideas to help in their role. Networking is all about making connections, which is what Karen thrives on.
The JDI Group is excited to have the opportunity to work with students through Junior Achievement for the second year in a row. We are excited to help educate the workforce of tomorrow.
