As a Structural Engineer with JDI, you’ll bring your expertise to the table, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial and commercial settings. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or a similar engineering curriculum with a structural emphasis is required, and Professional Registration is a definite plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis of various building systems to ensure safety and compliance
- Coordinate structural design details with JDI’s architectural and other internal engineering disciplines
- Visit job sites to gather field data for retrofit projects, ensuring accuracy and feasibility
- Work directly with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded
- Produce CAD drawings of approved designs for bid and permitting processes
To excel in this role, you’ll need proficiency in AutoCAD, and experience with Revit is a definite plus. Your ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and communicate complex ideas will be essential to your success.
