Process Mechanical Engineer

Are you a skilled Process Mechanical Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity to make an impact? The JDI Group is searching for qualified individuals like you to join our team and contribute to a diverse range of projects in heavy industrial, manufacturing, chemical, and refinery sectors.  As a Process Mechanical Engineer with us, you’ll play a vital role in the design and development process.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Develop engineering packages based on guidance from project leads, demonstrating independence with periodic progress reviews.
  • Utilize Pipe-Flo Professional to develop flow models.
  • Bring 2 to 6 years of experience in related fields to the table, demonstrating proficiency in commonly used concepts and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with project leads and adhere to pre-established guidelines while exercising independent judgment in the design process.
  • Participate in client review meetings, ensuring alignment with project requirements and objectives.

Job Functions: Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform Flow modeling
  • Specify equipment
  • Modeling equipment, piping, and components.
  • Participating in on-site visits to investigate customer needs and project requirements.

Candidate Requirements: To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD Plant 3D, Solidworks, or Autodesk Inventor Preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical and piping engineering.
  • 2 or more years of experience in mechanical engineering or an equivalent field.
  • Ability to work independently, interfacing with clients and project leads to execute project tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to learn new software tools and technologies.

Software Knowledge Requirements:

  • Strong preference for AutoCAD Plant 3D experience (2D & 3D), with Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor experience also valued.
  • Ability and willingness to learn additional software tools such as PIPE-FLO, CAESAR II, and PV-Elite.
