Washington Township - Fire Station Design

JDI assisted Washington Township, Ohio with fund-raising graphics, cost estimates, and a criteria design package for this pre-engineered metal building.

Following the levy approval in 2021, the township moved forward with the nearly 5,000 SF building. JDI helped the municipality bid the criteria design to design-build contractors and assisted with contractor selection.

Our team provided bid process management, although the municipality ultimately decided not to award the project due to high bids in early 2022. In mid-2022, the township re-engaged JDI to develop full construction documents for the fire station and was able to bid and award the project in October 2023.

Located on the site of a former school, JDI sited the new building to avoid the foundations of the previously demolished school, which were left in place. The site allowed for ample parking and turnaround space.
