Gross Electric employs more than 70 users, with most working from the warehouse floor. The client’s employees roam from station to station throughout the day and need access to company data and resources. JDI was able to implement a cost effective solution by leveraging Citrix Virtual Apps and Software as a Service (SaaS). Our IT team specified and installed the new Citrix server infrastructure and published the remote access to the roaming user base.
By launching Citrix Virtual Apps from the new infrastructure, Gross Electric was able to keep their existing warehouse terminal stations. Rather than hosting the applications on each terminal, they are now streamed virtually from the data center. This allows users to have roaming access to all company data, without the costly expense of upgrading individual workstations.
