The JDI Group provided an embedded engineering/project management contractor from October 2013 through December 2020 for a confidential client. The work included project management, development and submittal of capital funding requests, performing material and contract labor procurement functions, updating project budgets and forecasts, creation of MOCs, processing of stage gate submittals, contracting engineering design services, development of project scopes and cost estimates, updating project status reports, securing installation contractors (including walkthroughs), and vendor quotes. During this time, multiple capital projects in ammonia, urea, and nitric acid production units were completed. The projects were executed during and outside of plant turnaround windows. Projects included specifying new and replacement instrumentation, controls, infrastructure, and other process equipment to improve operational safety and reliability, and to meet current API, ISA, and NFPA requirements. Capital projects ranged from $100,000 to $4,000,000, with an overall program value of up to $40,000,000.
