Raw Material Process System

MT Systems and the jdi group teamed together at the Toluca, Mexico plant of one of the top three automakers in the country. Our team’s assignment was to provide process and engineering services for the installation of $50 million in new foundry equipment. jdi provided an engineering package for the installation of a new Raw Material Process System that is used to help produce engine blocks and heads.

Included in jdi’s scope of work for this project was the development of layouts/elevations and 3D Auto Cad drawings of the raw material equipment and utilities. The equipment layouts depicted the general arrangement of the machinery, together with the layout of the utilities, dust collection systems, ventilation system, and new process equipment. The 3D models depicted the connection of the machinery and equipment, including conveyor systems, to the required utilities - compressed air, city water, cooling tower water, power Ethernet cable, and nitrogen.

jdi performed like services for this auto manufacturer at five other locations, including sites in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
