New Bleach and Acid Tanks

The new bleach and acid tanks for the cooling tower at this plant are a great example of planning for safety. For both tanks, every valve for loading and routine operation is accessible from outside of the containment dike and at ground level. Unless the tank is being taken out of service, there is no need to enter the containment dike. This helps eliminate hazards of coming into contact with bleach or sulfuric acid and eliminates fall hazards. Tripping hazards were also considered during the design phase of both tanks.

The project was planned with safety and convenience in mind.
